Introducing Laura Mayhew as Eliza Doolittle

Laura joined IODS Theatre Company last year as Christine in our production of ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’ at the New Wolsey Theatre. She is extremely excited to be returning to the Ipswich Regent to play Eliza having performed there in the ensemble for the CoOp Juniors production of My Fair Lady in 1999.

Introducing Tom Mayhew as Freddy Eynsford-Hill

Tom is really looking forward to performing with IODS Theatre Company again for My Fair Lady, after his appearance as Freddy in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels last year.

Tom has also appeared in pantomimes for The Dennis Lowe Theatre Company at the Spa Pavilion, including the title role of Aladdin and Prince Charming in Cinderella.

Martin Leigh

Introducing Martin Leigh as Professor Higgins.

Previous roles for IODS Theatre Company include, Mack (Mack & Mabel), Bill Hickok (Calamity Jane), The Wizard (The Wizard of Oz) and last year as Lawrence Jameson (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels).

Other credits include the title role in A Man of No Importance, Ben Stone (Follies) General Haig (Oh What a Lovely War), the comically evil Caldwell B Cladwell (Urinetown), all for Gallery Players and the seriously evil Governor Danforth (The Crucible) for Paper Lantern.

Performances away from the theatre include singing and swinging throughout East Anglia and the South-East with ‘The Galaxy Big Band’.

Martin is really excited to be adding the role of Professor Higgins to his musical theatre achievements.
Introducing Dave Love as Colonel Pickering.

Dave is delighted to return to the Ipswich Regent Theatre with IODs as Colonel Pickering, which was his first major role with the Co-Op Juniors, in their production of this fabulous musical at the same venue in 1999.

Dave has made one previous appearance for IODs, as Glad Hand in West Side Story. Other appearances have all been for the Co-Op Juniors:

Mr Fezziwig (A Christmas Carol); Ali (Aladdin); Captain Johann (Cinderella); Mr Darling (Peter Pan); Charles (Me & My Girl); The Tin Man (Wizard of Oz); King Humphrey (Snow White); Foster Wilson (Annie Get Your Gun); Stephano (The Tempest); Sargeant Golightly (Pinocchio); Duke Vincentio (Measure for Measure), March Hare (Alice In Wonderland); Pop (We Will Rock You); as well as singing and having fun in: Jubilee Showtime, Red Hot Feet, plus five Christmas Spectacular shows at Snape Maltings Concert Hall.
